Children’s Worship

Children’s worship takes place during both the 8:30 am and 11:00 am worship services. Children begin worship in the sanctuary and are dismissed following the morning pastoral prayer. Children’s worship is for first through fifth graders. Children’s Minisers, Carol Blackwell and Raylene Moldovan, lead Children’s Worship.

Children engage in a series of rotations through stations that include video clips, scripture memory games, Bible lessons and crafts. Each week points are earned that can be “spent” on the last Sunday of the month at a huge store loaded with toys and incentives to encourage attendance, bringing friends and scripture memorization. A variety of fun media is used, including high energy music, engaging and interactive object bible lesson stories and creative crafts and games.

Some parents have to drag their kids to church…At Blanchard Church of Christ, our kids will drag you!

Beginner’s Worship

Beginner’s Worship takes place during both the 8:30 am and 11:00 am worship services.  Children begin worship in the sanctuary and are dismissed following the morning pastoral prayer.  This beginning level worship for 3 year olds through Kindergarten children includes a short lesson, craft and activity time, snack time and plenty of opportunities for play and attention.

Nursery

A nursery is provided for both worship hours. Newborn through two year olds receive loving, consistent teachers in a warm, friendly environment. Pagers are available for all parents. A video monitor showing the worship services is available in the nursery. A private area is available for nursing mothers.

The nursery is staffed by our Volunteer Nursery Coordinator, Sandy Westerbaan, as well as volunteers. All nursery workers have proper PA State Clearances.
