EXPANDING THE LEGACY
It is our spiritual stewardship campaign to raise funds to expand our existing facility to provide worship space for 530. The new building also provides larger and more accommodating area for the nursery and toddler children, creates six additional classrooms, more stage area for our music and drama ministry, enlarge the parking area and make the worship facility more easily accessible for all.
The campaign will emphasize the importance of how the Blanchard Church of Christ will return some of our blessings to God as he has blessed us.
Expanding the Legacy is primarily a stewardship campaign. Stewardship is recognizing that God owns all we possess and how we manage what God has given to us. It is understanding that God provides the resources for our lives, and through us, the resources for his work in his church. Our giving must always be in thankfulness and gratitude. Sacrificial giving must be a way of committing our financial resources, abilities and possessions to God. Your gifts are acceptable to God according to what you have, not according to what you do not have.
In II Corinthians Paul said each person should give what they have decided in their heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion. God does love a cheerful giver. God never measures a gift in relation to others, but to one’s resources. Jesus said , "From everyone who has been given, much will be demanded, and from one entrusted with much, much more will be asked." (Luke 12:48)
What is the purpose of the Expanding the Legacy campaign?
1) To challenge all to respond to the needs of Blanchard Church of Christ; 2) To encourage all to the Godly use of time, talent, treasures and testimony through prayer and stewardship; and 3) To follow the church leaders, trusting they will be diligent in their responsibility to you and the church |
